MIRACLE WORKERS MOVING FORWARD
From September 2009, we are moving to offices in Llanover which lies about three miles outside Abergavenny. We will also be providing a residential property two minutes walk from our new offices. Carers attending our Training Course will now be required to stay at our in-house Bed and Breakfast.

The new accomodation for carers is in a very nice house which is clean and comfortable. Facilities include a nice garden, shared twin-bedded rooms, washing machine, tumble dryer and cooking facilities.
Training
The Training course, Criminal Records Bureau check and other books along with 4 nights accommodation with breakfast and light lunch will cost £200.00. (please note that you will have to provide yourself with an evening meal).
Our training includes lectures on :-
- Short cookery course (including food hygiene)
- Manual Handling (theory and practical)
- Dementia Awareness
- Personal Care including Incontinence Management and Catheter Care
- Safe use of Medication
- The Ethos of Miracle Workers Agency
- The Role and Regulations of the CSSIW (Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales) The umbrella body under which we operate
- The payment you will receive, how it is paid, and self-employed status
Carers who are between assignments may use the house at the rate of £25.00 per night including breakfast. If they need respite from some of their clients they can enjoy a little break in the lovely Welsh countryside. Local town Abergavenny has many attractions to entertain you, Mountains, Markets and much, much more!!
By the time you have finished the course you should be confident that you can care for our clients well and be able to earn very good wages which will enable you to recoup your outgoings in the first week of work.
The credit crunch has not hit the care industry as the elderly and disabled will always need the care of well trained and sympathetic carers.
